Congratulations to our very own 5th-grade teacher, Tressa Eccher, who was one of 30 educators recognized in the Alpine School District as an Accent on Excellence Winner for 2025.
After teaching for nearly 10 years in North Carolina, Tressa came to our school, and we feel like we hit the jackpot. In the classroom, Tressa achieves excellence with her students by providing deep learning activities and encouraging her students to collaborate and communicate effectively. Tressa has worked on her coaching endorsement, been trained in STEAM innovation, and continually mentors the teachers on our 4th and now 5th-grade team. After school hours, she has brought music to our school by directing Our Ridgeline Singers, Annie, Willy Wonka, and she is currently directing Aladdin. Tressa has faced some personal challenges, losing her stepfather in the California fires this school year, but continues to focus on her student achieving excellence. She is a worthy candidate for this recognition, and we are so grateful to have her as part of our Ridgeline family.
As part of her recognition, Mrs. Eccher received a beautiful tribute from one of her current students and actors in Aladdin, Libby Tucker.
